Nightstand, Casablanca, 2010
My primary library exists in an unused bedroom in a suburb of Dublin, Ireland. I’ve been on the road for four years: Canada, Morocco, China. I invariably form a local library at each stop and when I move on, I donate those books to others (reserving only special items for my collection at home).
I’m afraid I don’t have any better photos to share. I pulled this one off of Facebook.
(Left to Right) “Seven Pillars of Wisdom” (T.E. Lawrence), “Arabian Sands” (Alfred Thesiger), Collected works of Paul Bowles, “Angle of Repose” (Wallace Stegner), “Brooklyn” (Colm Toibin), “Orientalism” (Edward Said), “Southern Mail/ Night Flight” (Antoine de Saint-Exupery), “Flight to Arras” (Antoine de Saint-Exupery), Lonely Planet Guides to Morocco and Madrid, “The Essential Hemingway”, “The Crossing” (Cormac MacCarthy).
Thanks for sharing. It’s always a pleasure to have a narrative to accompany our readers’ submissions.
